Chief Master Sergeant Darrell K. Gronau, Recruiting and Retention Superintendent

Chief Master Sergeant Darrell K. Gronau has come back home! He works with Major Workman as the Recruiting and Retention Superintendent here at our school. He attended Clearfield High School and was active in Air Force Junior ROTC while he was here. Chief Gronau graduated in May of 1982 and in June, enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve, attending Basic Military training that same year. In February of 1983, he entered active duty with the United States Air Force.

He has had extensive experience as an Aircraft Structural Repair Specialist and Aircraft technician. Chief Gronau received much recognition as a Recruiting Officer throughout his career. In March of 2009 he was promoted to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

He was selected as one of the Twelve Outstanding NCOs in the Air Force in 1996. He has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Marksmanship Ribbon and Arizona Airman of the Year Medal.

He is married to the former Martina Lisa Castillo of Avondale, Arizona. He has two sons, Adam Kirk, age 24 and Mark Anthony, age 23 and two daughters Amarissa Karren, age 4 and Adrianna Mary, age 3.
